.... and No! the sun was not shining, and the skies were grey,
the colour was all in the Impulse fleet
however the hardy still went out and finished the Regatta with smiles on their faces!
but really ...
you need to see just how many layers are needed to go out and take photos of the sailors...
rescue crews and paparazzi have to be hardy too...
that would be four layers, including a life jacket for warmth..
a few hot and recognisable colours in the cause of not being missed!!
so , in no particular order
we headed back out,
but John only made the outward trip before his rudder broke
clearly it was all too hard for John today!!
the first race was under way
The first boats arrived at the windward mark..
fast and furious ..
there was splash aplenty ..
plenty of colour
problems , here and there
David in amongst them..
hither and thither .. |
bows flying high ..
back and forth |
Brad, at only fifteen is the youngest in the fleet, great effort..
lined up
|
and with that all over ...
... it was a wrap!
All boats were home again,
Gippsland Lakes Sailing Club signed off on another successfully run regatta!
Presentation of trophy photos will be online later in the week ,
after we all get home!
